Patricia (Patti) A. Dodgen, CEO
As a senior executive in financial, technical, and operational management, Patti brings a rare and highly coveted depth of experience to Hielix in the implementation of healthcare IT services that can be deployed more rapidly, at lower cost, and with enhanced outcomes. Patti serves as Hielix’s national subject matter expert (SME) on the adoption of Electronic Health Records (EHR) and helping healthcare providers meet the guidelines of Meaningful Use. In addition, Patti provides thought leadership to both the organization and our national reseller footprint on health information exchange (HIE) and how to successfully prepare for an evolving healthcare delivery business model.
Since co-founding Hielix, Patti had remained a sought after speaker for regional and national healthcare organizations and is a subject matter expert for some of the world’s largest healthcare technology distributors, the leading health IT associations, and global technology vendors. She was a key participant with the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HiMSS) workgroup in the development of health IT recommendations for the transition team of President Obama and continues to provide leadership and support to the HiMSS’ Meaningful Use Center of Leadership.
Dale Emerson, President
Hielix President Dale Emerson leads the Hielix planning and implementation of HIE-related services across all Hielix customer segments, including state and federal governments, hospital, and healthcare systems. His extraordinary leadership, creativity, and facilitation skills honed over the last 20 years allow him to bring diverse and often competing interests within HIE management into alignment around common goals.
Along with Patti Dodgen, Mr. Emerson founded Hielix to address the increasing needs of the healthcare sector to exchange data and information electronically and to assist entities in managing the required operational changes to become sustainable. He has over 35 years of award winning senior management experience in both the for-profit and non-profit sectors. Mr. Emerson is currently conducting strategic planning, evaluation, and HIE implementation programs for the States of North Dakota, Minnesota, and the Territory of Guam. He has been instrumental in leading the design and implementation of HIE efforts in eleven different states and the Territory of Guam and is a leading expert in HIE strategic planning, operational design, and financial sustainability. He developed the Hielix HIE Sustainability model and created a financial strategy for successful information exchange at the state, regional, and provider level.

Daniel Davie is the EVP, Sales & Marketing for Hielix, providing strategic and tactical leadership for sales and marketing, product development, channel strategy, consulting, and internal operations. Daniel brings a blend of corporate, emerging growth, and broad healthcare experience to the Hielix senior management team. From managed care to behavioral health, and healthcare IT companies, Daniel has successfully taken complex messages and crafted successful marketing communications and operational strategies.
