The ability to develop and sustain Health Information Exchanges (HIE) at a state-wide level is challenged by two competing pressures. First, ensuring the continued success of the HIE itself, and second, maintaining proper balance between technology requirements and operational realities. At Hielix, we understand the challenges that HIE planning and implementation may cause in the development of a statewide exchange. Its objective is to evaluate the overall financial and operation health of physician practices and provide concrete, tactical steps for moving forward. Led by a former practice administrator, our team reviews a number of operational, workflow and financial factors that impact the overall health of the practice.
Created primarily for physician practices, the healthcare IT reseller channel and their practice customers, Hielix EHR Roadmap is an interactive web application built to assist ambulatory physician practices with the evaluation and selection criteria of an electronic health record (EHR) software package. The outcome of this unique application is the Hielix EHR Roadmap, a list of considerations for EHR selection and adoption that can be utilized by the practice to take the confusion out of the selection process.
